PROJECTION MAPPING

Ōtepoti /Dunedin Railway Station

This project transformed the intricate ornamental architecture of Dunedin Railway Station—an Edwardian-era masterpiece—through highly detailed projection mapping precisely tailored to the building’s elaborate façade.

The station’s whimsical, palace-like façade was reimagined in soft pastel tones, evoking the delicate appearance of a hand-coloured photograph and giving the building an unexpected, magical, almost cartoon-like quality.

Commissioned by Dunedin City Council to celebrate Fleetwood Mac’s concert in the city, the projections incorporated imagery and visual references inspired by the band’s music and distinctive aesthetic, bringing the historic architecture to life as a luminous backdrop for the occasion.

Due to traffic safety restrictions, this project could not include moving imagery.
